Postojna

Postojna is a town in the traditional region of Inner Carniola, in southwestern Slovenia. It is well-known for its Postojna Cave, one of the largest karst cave systems in the world, which is over 24,000 meters long. The cave is a major tourist attraction, receiving thousands of visitors each year who come to explore its stalactites, stalagmites, and unique subterranean ecosystem. Postojna also boasts a quaint town center with historical buildings, museums, and a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling in the nearby forests. The town is also known for the Predjama Castle, built within a cave mouth and located about 9 km from Postojna.

Postojna Cave
