Sighișoara Citadel

The Sighișoara Citadel is a well-preserved medieval fortified town located in Mureș County, Romania. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was founded by the Transylvanian Saxons during the 12th century. The citadel is known for its cobbled streets, steep stairways, and beautiful architecture, including the landmark Clock Tower. Clock Tower

The Clock Tower is the main entry point to the Sighișoara Citadel and stands as a significant landmark in the town. Built in the 14th century, it originally served as the main gate to the citadel and as its protection system. The tower reaches a height of 64 meters and houses a museum of history. At the top, there is an observation deck providing panoramic views of the old town. The tower is adorned with a unique clock face that includes figurines representing the days of the week.

Vlad Dracul House

The Vlad Dracul House is a historic building in Sighișoara associated with Vlad Dracul, the father of Vlad the Impaler, who is better known as Dracula. This house is believed to be the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler and is one of the oldest buildings in the town, dating back to the early 15th century. The building now functions as a museum and restaurant, offering visitors a chance to explore the history and background of the Dracula legend in a uniquely authentic setting.

Church on the Hill

The Church on the Hill is one of the most prominent landmarks in Sighișoara, situated on the Scholomance Hill. It dates back to the 13th century and is known for its Gothic architecture, altarpiece, and medieval frescoes. The church can be reached by climbing the covered wooden stairway, also known as the Scholars' Stairs. The interior of the church is richly decorated, and it serves as an outstanding example of Transylvanian Gothic architecture.
