Skógafoss is one of Iceland's most famous and breathtaking waterfalls, situated in the southern part of the country near the village of Skógar. The waterfall is located on the Skógá River and drops a stunning 60 meters (196 feet) over a sheer cliff, creating a mesmerizing cascade that often produces rainbows in its mist. It is easily accessible and a popular stop for tourists traveling along the Ring Road. The surrounding area is also known for hiking trails, including the path leading up to the Fimmvörðuháls pass.
