Corfu
Corfu is a beautiful Greek island located in the Ionian Sea. With its natural charm, crystal-clear beaches, and rich history, Corfu is a popular destination for travelers. Some points of interest in Corfu include the old town of Corfu (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Achilleion Palace, the Paleokastritsa Monastery, the Canal d'Amour, the New Fortress, the Archaeological Museum of Corfu, and the Asian Art Museum.
Achilleion Palace
This impressive palace was built by the Empress of Austria Elisabeth of Bavaria, also known as Sissi. It is dedicated to Achilles, the hero of Greek mythology.
Monastery of Paleokastritsa
Situated on the top of a hill with stunning sea views. The monastery still houses monks and there is also a small religious museum.
Mount Pantokrator
Mount Pantokrator is a mountain located in the northeast of Corfu. At 906 meters, it is the highest mountain on the island. From the summit, you can see all of Corfu as well as Albania, which is a short distance from the island.
