Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi is the capital of Lapland, situated in the northern part of Finland. This modern city, almost destroyed during the Second World War, is now famous for being the 'official' residence of Santa Claus and for the Northern Lights. Additionally, in Rovaniemi, you can find Arktikum, a museum and science center where the Arctic region and the history of Finnish Lapland are researched.
