The Silk Exchange

La Lonja de la Seda, or The Silk Exchange, is a late Valencian Gothic-style civil building in Valencia. Constructed between 1482 and 1548, the building was originally used for trading silk, which gave it its name. It is considered one of the most stunning buildings representing the golden age of Valencia. Ornate stonework and a beautiful interior courtyard make it a must-visit site, symbolizing the city's mercantile power and wealth during the 15th and 16th centuries. It is one of Spain's 48 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
