Chapel Bridge

The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the River Reuss in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were fully reconstructed after a 1993 fire. The bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. A symbol of Lucerne, it attracts numerous tourists annually.

Lion Monument

The Lion Monument in Lucerne, Switzerland, is a rock relief created in memory of the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution. Carved in 1820-1821 by Lukas Ahorn, it shows a dying lion and measures ten meters in length and six meters in height. It is one of the most famous monuments in Switzerland and symbolizes the bravery and loyalty of the Swiss Guards.
