Tirana is the capital and largest city of Albania. It is located in the central part of the country, within the Tirana Municipality. The city is known for its colorful Ottoman-, Fascist- and Soviet-era architecture. It has become a lively metropolis with cultural attractions, vibrant street life, and a Mediterranean climate. The Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum, and the Et'hem Bey Mosque are notable landmarks. Tirana, the capital of Albania, is known for its colorful buildings, built throughout the Ottoman, fascist, and Soviet eras. Skanderbeg Square, named after the national hero in whose honor his equestrian statue was erected, is dotted with pastel-colored buildings and is the nerve center of the city. North of the square is the National History Museum, in modernist style, which covers from Prehistory to communism and the uprising against this regime in the 90s.

Skanderbeg Square is the heart of Tirana and is dedicated to the Albanian national hero, Skanderbeg. The square is surrounded by historical buildings, such as the National History Museum, the Ethem Bey Mosque, and the Clock Tower.
