Battambang is the capital of the eponymous province of Cambodia and is located in the heart of said province. National Road 5 connects the population with Phnom Penh, which is 291 km away, and with the city of Sisophon to the west, which is 69 km away.

Wat Banan Temple

Wat Banan Temple is an 11th-century Angkorian mountain temple located on a hilltop in Battambang Province. The temple consists of several small towers made of sandstone and laterite blocks.
