Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum is a protected desert area located in the south of Jordan. It is characterized by impressive sandstone mountains like Ishrin and natural arches like the Burda stone bridge. Numerous inscriptions and carvings adorn the caves and canyons, such as Jazali. Lawrence's Spring is named after the British soldier Lawrence of Arabia, who, according to the chronicles, washed there.

The Seven Pillars of Wisdom

Named after T. E. Lawrence's autobiographical account of the Arab revolt, The Seven Pillars of Wisdom is a rock formation in Wadi Rum that stands as a testament to the rich history of the area. Rising dramatically from the desert landscape, the formation offers an excellent opportunity for hiking and exploration. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding desert from its summit.

Lawrence's House

Lawrence's House, situated in Wadi Rum, was purportedly the residence of T. E. Lawrence, better known as Lawrence of Arabia, during his time in the area. Although it is now in a state of ruin, the house remains a key historical site. Visitors frequent the location to gain a deeper understanding of Lawrence's life and to witness the remnants of a bygone era.

Jebel Umm ad Dami

Jebel Umm ad Dami is the highest peak in Jordan, located near the southern border with Saudi Arabia. The mountain provides a relatively challenging climb but rewards hikers with stunning views of the surrounding desert and, on a clear day, the distant Red Sea. The area is relatively remote, adding to the sense of adventure for those who choose to explore it.
