Arequipa

Arequipa is the colonial capital of the Arequipa region in Peru. It is surrounded by 3 volcanoes and has baroque buildings made of sillar, a white volcanic stone. In its historic center, there is the Plaza de Armas, an impressive main square, and to the north of it is the 17th-century neoclassical Basilica Cathedral, which houses a museum displaying art and religious objects.

Colca Canyon or Valley

The Colca Canyon is one of the deepest in the world and a popular destination for hiking. It is located in southern Peru, next to the Colca River, famous among rafting enthusiasts. In this valley lives the enormous Andean condor, which can be observed from various viewpoints, such as the Cruz del Condor one. It is an area with green landscapes and several remote traditional villages where the Inca terrace farming is practiced.
