Chapel Bridge
The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the River Reuss in the city of Lucerne, Switzerland. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were fully reconstructed after a 1993 fire. The bridge is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. A symbol of Lucerne, it attracts numerous tourists annually.
Lion Monument
The Lion Monument in Lucerne, Switzerland, is a rock relief created in memory of the Swiss Guards who were massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution. Carved in 1820-1821 by Lukas Ahorn, it shows a dying lion and measures ten meters in length and six meters in height.
